As mentioned in our last post, we recently turned to our customers and invited them to create and submit their own “home-made” versions of the popular “I Fly UltraCam” videos our team has been producing over the last couple of years. The results have been impressive. Last post we shared the GEODIS video. This post we highlight a video produced and submitted by UltraCamLp customer, Blue Skies Consulting, LLC. in Belen, New Mexico.
Another well done video. In this one, Blue Skies owners Mike Racine and Tami Wiggins nicely explain the competitive advantages offered by the UltraCamLp photogrammetric digital aerial camera. Additionally, Mike speaks to the UltraCam workflow, showing the intuitive and easy-to-use camera operating panel and software,
along with some onscreen footage of how quickly and smoothly working with blocks of large volumes of UltraCam images is in the UltraMap workflow software. I have been talking with the UltraCam Support team about having just such a video created to share with prospective UltraCam owners. Apparently now I don’t need to, thanks to Mike and Blue Skies!
In addition to the great dialogue and footage, a nice touch to the video is the music that, to me, adds a nice southwestern feel, appropriate for a New Mexico-based business. A little piece of trivia: the song “Free” was written and recorded by a local New Mexico band, Reviva, who lent the song to Blue Skies for the video.
Another nice touch is the compliment Mike pays to our North America UltraCam Support team that includes Carl Smith, David Porter, and Nathan Conwell. I wouldn’t exactly call these guys unsung heroes–they are routinely praised by our customers in our User Group meetings–but love the recognition from Mike for the great job these guys do.
Enough from me. Check out the video. Then for a little more background on the Blue Skies acquisition of the UltraCamLp, check out the announcement from last year and the news about Blue Skies’ acquisition to expand their business since purchasing the UltraCamLp.
Enjoy!
