Welcome to the UltraCam Blog, the official blog for the Microsoft UltraCam Team. If you have found this blog, you are likely already aware of the UltraCam family of digital aerial camera systems used by aerial surveyors worldwide for photogrammetric and mapping purposes. If not, before reading on you may want to check out the UltraCam website for some information on the systems. While there, check out the Multimedia page for videos of some of our customers explaining in their own words why they choose the UltraCam for their aerial data acquisition businesses.
Why a blog? Like an aircraft’s radio system that serves as a mechanism for communication, this blog is intended to provide a channel for discussion between those in the aerial surveying and photogrammetic community and the Microsoft UltraCam Team. The UltraCam business is a dynamic one with a lot happening all the time. A blog is a perfect forum for quickly sharing updates, whether small or large bits of information, and get your thoughts.
Expect writing contributions from the brains in our development team, technical tips from our ace support group, market observations from our business leadership, general UltraCam announcements from our sales and marketing team, and periodic posts from guest writers from the industry. We will initially strive to post at least once weekly but expect that this will gradually increase.
In all this we will look to followers of the blog to join in and help drive discussions. Add your comments and use the Contact Us page for private, offline discussion. The beauty of a blog, like other social media channels, is that you don’t even have to remember to check back to this page. Just use the options in the right pane of the blog home page to automatically receive UltraCam Blog posts and comments as email or as RSS Feeds. And be sure to use the Likes and Shares below a post to share with your contacts!
Let the discussions begin!
