While visiting UltraCam customer Kucera International in Willoughby, Ohio last week I learned that they were recently featured in the December 2011 PE&RS journal (a little behind in my reading, you can see). The article covered the work that Kucera did in response to flooding in the eastern region of New York following Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Among their tools that Kucera used for the project was their UltraCamX to provide photogrammetric-grade stereo frame aerial photos. You can find the online issue here and the story begins on page 1186. (You won’t have to flip through too many pages to get there … the journal begins on page 1181.)
Nice aerial view on the cover of that issue too! Nat Phillips from Kucera tells me it was captured with the UCX at 0.12ft GSD.
I also learned from Kucera during a visit last week that they were recognized by NY DOT through an award.
Congrats to Kucera!
