Most readers of the blog have been aware for some time now that with the coming UltraMap 3.0 release we will deliver point cloud, digital surface model, and orthophoto generation capabilities to UltraCam customers. We are now getting very close to release. This month the UltraMap 3.0 beta program launched with UltraCam customers, who registered in June to participate in the program, getting their hands on the new modules.
Just as a reminder, UltraMap is module-based. The base package allows raw UltraCam data to be ingested and taken to radiometrically-corrected and color-balanced level 3 JPEG or TIFF images. There is currently an optional module for aerotriangulation, and the new capabilities will be provided through two new optional modules (as seen in the diagram below) that are used following the AT process.
The beta test program is expected to continue through the end of August and we’re targeting September to officially release UltraMap 3.0. ! Contact your UltraCam sales rep if you are interested in learning more, including preliminary pricing.
