Continuing with the publishing of our customers recent and impressive “home-made” versions of the popular “I Fly UltraCam” videos our team has been producing over the last couple of years, we bring you one this week from FMM Ges.m.b.H.
Founded in 1989 in Salzburg, Austria, FMM has worked with the UltraCam team since the development of the original UltraCam, the UltraCamD. FMM has been flying digital systems exclusively since buying an UltraCamX in 2008. Based on the company’s satisfaction with the performance of that system, FMM acquired an UltraCam Eagle in the early part of this year. FMM CEO, Hermann Novak, had this to say about the Eagle acquisition:
“The projects of FMM and our customers will be based in mountainous regions normally with a great extent. In this case we talk about more than 3000 square kilometres per project. The main reason for the Ultracam Eagle purchase is our opinion that this camera makes projects more effective. The lesser weight and the greater image footprint is helpful to reduce enormous flightcosts. But a very interesting fact of the Ultracam Eagle for us is the possibility to change the lens system of the camera with different focal length. That could be helpful in the future, especially in extremely mountainous regions here in Austria.”
